Architects June 2024: Complete List of Passers in the Licensure Examination

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 2,094 out of 3,370 candidates successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA), a significant milestone for the architecture community in the Philippines. The examination was conducted by the Board of Architecture, led by its Chairman, Arch. Robert S. Sac, along with board members Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente and Arch. Corazon V. Fabia-Tandoc. The LEA took place on June 11 and 13, 2024, across multiple locations including NCR, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The results, released in just three working days after the final examination, reflect the dedication and preparedness of the examinees as well as the efficient processing by the PRC. This swift release of results has allowed successful candidates to promptly begin planning their next steps in their professional journey.

Highlighting the top-performing schools, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main-Sta. Mesa emerged as the leading institution, achieving a remarkable passing rate of 93.33%. Out of 60 examinees from this institution, 56 passed the exam. The University of Santo Tomas followed, with 143 out of 161 candidates successfully passing, translating to an 88.82% passing rate. The University of San Carlos also made it to the top three, with 58 out of 68 examinees passing and a passing rate of 85.29%.

In addition to the overall institutional performance, individual achievements were also recognized. Louie Nathaniel Pascual Kiu from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Inc. topped the examination with an impressive rating of 83.80%. Following closely, Anna Patricia Rodriguez De Leon from the University of the Philippines-Diliman secured the second spot with a rating of 83.40%, and Alyssa Rose Corrales Napoles, also from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, achieved the third highest rating at 83.10%.

Starting August 12, 2024, successful examinees can register online for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. The PRC's official website, www.prc.gov.ph, will provide detailed instructions for the initial registration process. Examinees are required to bring several documents, including a downloaded and duly accomplished Oath Form (Panunumpa ng Propesyonal), notice of admission for identification, two passport-sized photos with a white background and complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope. It is mandatory for all successful candidates to personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

This year’s LEA results underscore the importance of comprehensive architectural education and training in the Philippines. The high passing rates of the top-performing schools demonstrate the quality of their programs and the preparedness of their students. As new architects step into their professional roles, they carry with them not only technical skills and knowledge but also a commitment to uphold the standards and ethics of the profession.

The architecture community eagerly anticipates the contributions of these newly licensed professionals, who are expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the field. With their training and credentials, they are well-equipped to tackle the evolving challenges in architecture and contribute to the built environment in meaningful ways.
