Physicians Results 2024: April Licensure Examination

The journey to becoming a licensed physician in the Philippines is one of rigorous education, training, and examination. Recently, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,906 individuals have successfully passed the Physicians Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Medicine in several key regions across the country. Out of 3,434 hopefuls who undertook the exam, this accomplishment marks a significant milestone in their professional careers.

The examination, held in multiple locations including N. C. R., Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga, tested candidates on a comprehensive range of medical knowledge and skills. The successful candidates demonstrated their proficiency in various medical disciplines, paving their way toward a promising future in the field of healthcare.

Leading the examination process were the esteemed members of the Board of Medicine, chaired by Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio. The board, comprised of Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, ensured the integrity and fairness of the licensure examination.

Following the announcement of the results, the next step for the successful examinees is the registration process for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. In line with modernization efforts, the PRC has implemented an online registration system starting May 16, 2024. Applicants are directed to visit the official PRC website (www.prc.gov.ph) and follow the provided instructions for initial registration.

During the registration process, successful examinees are required to bring specific documents, including a downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, their notice of admission (for identification purposes), two passport-sized photographs with a white background and complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope. It's crucial for candidates to personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals to complete the process successfully.

This achievement not only signifies the dedication and hard work of the successful examinees but also underscores the importance of maintaining high standards within the medical profession. As these newly licensed physicians embark on their careers, they carry with them the responsibility to uphold ethical standards, provide compassionate care, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in the Philippines.
