The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results of the February 2024 Licensure Examination for Criminologists, with 15,684 out of 32,495 examinees passing the rigorous assessment. Conducted by the Board of Criminology across 28 testing centers nationwide, this examination is a pivotal milestone for aspiring criminologists seeking professional recognition.
The Board of Criminology, led by Hon. Ramil G. Gabao as Chairman, along with Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz as Members, oversees the examination process, ensuring its fairness, integrity, and adherence to professional standards.
Starting April 15, 2024, successful examinees can proceed with the registration process for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. Unlike previous methods, registration will be conducted online, streamlining the process for convenience and efficiency.
To initiate the registration process, candidates are directed to visit the PRC official website at www.prc.gov.ph and carefully follow the provided instructions. Essential documents required for registration include a downloaded and duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, along with the notice of admission for identification purposes. Additionally, candidates must bring two passport-sized colored photographs with a white background and complete name tags, as well as two sets of documentary stamps and one piece of a short brown envelope.
It's imperative to note that successful examinees are mandated to personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, affirming their commitment to uphold the standards and ethics of the criminology profession.
The release of these examination results marks a significant achievement for the individuals who have successfully passed and signals the beginning of their journey as licensed criminologists. With their newfound professional status, they are poised to contribute meaningfully to various sectors, including law enforcement, criminal justice, and public safety.
The PRC, in collaboration with the Board of Criminology, remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and competence within the field of criminology. Through continuous assessment, regulation, and support, they aim to ensure the continued excellence and integrity of the criminology profession in the Philippines.
